Virtually Pain Free Dental Care...
We
know that many patients are apprehensive about receiving dental care.
At Dr. Willits', we pride ourselves on our
ability to make each patient as comfortable and relaxed as possible
while receiving care.
First, we listen to your concerns. We then discuss different methods for
making you as comfortable as possible. Together, we lay out a
treatment plan that will meet your needs. We have several options:
1. Dr. Willits' Special Sedation Dental Care Program
Many of Dr. Willits' patients prefer to snooze through their dental care. Center for Cosmetic Dentistry offers a special Sedation Care Program where qualified patients can
just take a small pill and snooze and in many cases have all of their
dental needs taken care of in just one appointment. If this
sounds right for you, just

2. Dr. Willits' Famous Virtually Painless Injection
Most of our patients never know they
have received an injection. That's because of Dr. Willits' famous
virtually "Painless Injection" technique. A topical anesthetic
is applied to the tissue with a swab. This anesthetic painlessly
numbs the spot where the doctor will give you one of the most gentle
injections.
3. Conscious Sedation
Conscious sedation is an easy way of using a simple oral medication (often
called "the blue pill") to relax you without the loss of consciousness.
The pill is taken an hour prior to your appointment. You can relax while a
companion drives you to and from our office.
Upon arrival, you will take a second blue pill that will allow you to
gently sleep through your treatment. And best of all, most people don't
remember any of their treatment!
4. Post-Treatment Comfort
We want you to be as comfortable as possible after your care. We often
send our patients home with a supply of non-narcotic analgesics to relieve
any post treatment discomfort. These include aspirin, acetaminophen and
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen.
We utilize the air abrasion-micro dentistry techniques whenever
applicable. This is much kinder to you and your teeth, less tooth
structure is removed, and most often requires NO SHOTS!
